Who Gives a F*ck about Walter Cronkite When We've Got Steinski!

Many younger people don't know this but the person primarily responsible for what the kids are calling "mash-ups" these days, is a middle-aged Jewish man from New York known as Steinski.

One thing is for sure, Steinski is not Girl Talk. He is more subversive. His cut and paste vignettes are not just commentaries on pop music, but also pop culture and the media.

"The Motorcade Sped On" from 1986 is a re-telling of the JFK assassination...sliced, diced and set to a stripped-down hip-hop beat. Cronkite could certainly deliver a news story with raw emotion, but Steinski could do it with swing! (and still can!)
