Ssion: Trashy Gay Disco Art Punk Pop!

Ssion, pronounced "shun," may have made, literally, the gayest record ever. Kansas City boy Cody Critcheloe (known for designing Yeah Yeah Yeah's album art) teamed up with friend and programming savant, Ashley Miller, to release their albumFool's Gold. The Chicago Reader calls Ssion's art-punk collective, a "no-budget Fischerspooner by way of Hee Haw," but I'd say it is more like if Balki Bartokomous was gay, had a "Boderline-era" Madonna fixation, and watched a lot of Pee Wee's Playhouse. The cleverly catchy video for "Street Jizz" should catch your attention with it's stylistically familiar production value and creatively innovative, trashy, danceability.
