R.E.M's Harbor Coats and High-Waisted Pants
Twenty-four years ago a curly haired mop top from Athens, Georgia by the name of Michael Stipe, sang and danced his way into the heart of America while wearing fashionably understated high-waisted pants.
Fast forward to 2008. America's favorite fashionably understated curly haired mop top has transformed into the country's poster boy for self-important, glabrous, gay musicians who paint their foreheads blue.
Whatever. I still think Reckoning is a pretty cool album.
